Beginning in 2018, Acer re-introduce a new product devoted laptop for gamers. Named Triton 700, a gaming notebook that is included in the Predator family is claimed as the thinnest notebook that has a high sepsifikasi.
In an event held at the Greyhound Cafe (9/01), Acer also invited overclocking world champion from Indonesia, Alva Jonathan, for hands-on and testing the Predator benchmark Triton 700 directly.
High hardware specs
Predator Triton 700 brings the highest hardware specs for a gaming notebook small dimension. This notebook diotaki i7-7700HQ Intel Core processor with a speed of 3.8 GHz and a graphics processor NVIDIA GeForce 1080 GTX Max-Q Design with manifold 8 GB of GDDR5 RAM.
Not forgetting also included two NVMe SSD storage capacity of 512 GB and two 16 GB DDR4 RAM 2133 MHz. Storage and large RAM is able to make gamers are free to do multitasking while playing the game without obstacles.
On the side of the screen, Triton 700 Predator is equipped with a 15.6-inch IPS display with a Full HD resolution of 1,920 x 1,080 pixels. The screen supports NVIDIA G-Sync technology with a high refresh rate to reduce screen tearing and stuttering while playing the game.
To spoil the hardcore gamers who like to linger in front of the laptop, Predator Triton 700 is equipped with a mechanical keyboard with key travel of 1.6 mm which has been supported RGB backlit light. This will certainly make the typing experience more responsive and accurate when used.
Excess heat is a problem often encountered for a thin gaming laptop. To overcome Acer embed 3D Aeroblade cooling fan technology of the 2nd generation with five heat pipe cooling that can generate up to 35 percent better than conventional gaming fan.
Benchmark
In the hands-on sessions and benchmarks, Alva Jonathan also demonstrate the process overclocked 1080 GTX Max-Q used in Predator Mode Triton 700. This turbo overclock the GPU to around 1440-1450 MHz default speed of 1300-1350 MHz. While the speed of Video RAM (VRAM) increased from 5 GHz to 5.4 GHz.
When tested benchmark by running the 3DMark Fire Strike in turbo mode, Predator Triton managed to get a score of 19 462 points, slightly higher than the default mode is only to score 18 568 points.
