Fingerprint Sensor Smartphone Next Year to Be Transparent

JDI Fingerprint Transparant

So far, we know JDI as a company that manufactures screen, especially for smartphones. However, JDI has recently diversified its business and has been officially introduced the latest fingerprint scanner that successfully developed.

The first fingerprint scanner technology made by JDI is present in the form of transparent and is claimed to be used in future smartphones. As we know, the conventional fingerprint scanner is made of silicon and non-transparent.

Another interesting thing, the fingerprint scanner is artificial predicted JDI can also be placed behind the screen as is done in Vivo X20 Plus Synaptics UD. Pixel Eye using its own technology, JDI build capacitive touch sensors into the LCD panel.

Sensitivity has also been optimized, wherein the scanner sensor can detect the user's finger back. All were developed by JDI into a highly transparent glass substrate. The sensor itself has a size of 8 x 8 mm (160 x 16 pixels, 508 dpi).

The plan, the new fingerprint scanner will be marketed commercially starting in March 2019. There has been no further news, any device that will be adopted this JDI made fingerprint scanner.

As we know, Vivo is the only manufacturer of smartphones that are now adopted a fingerprint scanner on behind the scenes. The Synaptics made technology can be found on the X20 Vivo Plus UD yesterday (24/1) has been released officially.
