In August 2017 the Global HMD has released a flagship smartphone developed, namely Nokia 8. Armed with hardware specifications that qualified, Global HMD was proud of the performance produced by Nokia 8.
How not, this smartphone comes with a Snapdragon chipset 835 Octa-core. Not only that, the HMD Global also participated insert selection of 4 GB of RAM and 6 GB. As well as its internal storage, there are two options, namely 64 GB and 128 GB plus microSD slot.
Talking about support embedded camera, the Nokia 8 has been equipped with a dual-camera configuration key has a 13 MP with RGB and 13 MP lens with lens monochrome. Dual-main camera is also capable of recording video up to 4K resolution.
Unfortunately, dual-camera embedded by Global HMD into the Nokia 8 had a disappointing performance. Yes! This is evident from tests performed by DxOMark with total votes reached only 68 points.
If unpick, Nokia 8 according DxOMark only able to reach a value of 72 points for photo and video by 62 points. Clearly, Nokia 8 defeat away to some other flagship smartphones, such as Google Pixel, HTC U11 and iPhone 7 Plus.
In fact, when compared with the iPhone 6, which appeared two years ago, Nokia 8 also lags far. Smartphones made by Apple when tested by DxOMark able to reach a value of 73 points.
Similarly, if Nokia 8 compared with the Lava Z25 get votes from DxOMark by 70 points. In fact, Lava Z25 itself is not opposed to the corresponding 8 for Smartphone Nokia is not included in the ranks of the flagship.
Obviously, this can be a lesson for Global HMD to create a flagship smartphone which is not only superior in terms of hardware specifications, but also had a good performance on the side of the camera. So, we wait for DxOMark testing against other Global HMD smartphone.
