Rely 845 Snapdragon ARM Cortex-A75 and A55, Sehebat What?

Snapdragon 845

Some time ago has attended various flagship smartphone that uses Qualcomm Snapdragon processor 835, such as the Samsung Galaxy S8, S8 + Galaxy, Xiaomi Mi-6, and Sony Xperia XZ Premium. By using octa-core processor that carries this 10nm process technology, the smartphone has four outstanding performance.

Does not only produce the Snapdragon 835, Qualcomm reportedly is working on a new processor, Snapdragon 845 also uses a 10nm process technology. In contrast to the Snapdragon 835 that uses Kryo 280 eight-core, Snapdragon 845 will use core ARM Cortex-A75 and Cortex-A55 latest.

Based on the information that is circulating, it is mentioned that the Cortex-A75 will have greater performance 20 percent compared to the Cortex-A73 and 40 percent than the Cortex-A72. In terms of battery consumption, Cortex-A75 will also have capabilities similar to the Cortex-A73. In fact, through the benchmark testing using a variety of tools, Cortex-A75 has a better ability than the Cortex-A73.

Cortex-A75 will have a maximum speed of 3 GHz or 200 MHz can be said to be faster than the A73 which only has a speed of 2.8 GHz. There is improved performance, both for single-thread or multi-thread. Meanwhile, the Cortex-A55 has a twofold performance increase compared A53 and has an increased battery consumption efficiency as much as 15 percent.

For now, the Cortex-A53 core is only able to pack four in one cluster, so that Snapdragon 625 only has eight Cortex-A53 core are packaged in two clusters. While the Cortex-A55, one cluster can later be filled eight cores at once. In fact, the core 16 can be packaged in two clusters. The advantage, which has a cluster processor Cortex-A55 will have the ability better battery efficiency.

Through some benchmark tool, Cortex-A55 is also able to show a better performance than the A53. Meanwhile, the Snapdragon 845 that combines the Cortex-A75 and Cortex-A55 is expected to offer a 30 percent increase in performance on single-core and 70 percent on multi-core processors. The plan, this new processor Qualcomm concoction will be announced at the end of 2017 and will be incorporated in smartphones in 2018.
